The Foundation for the Arts in Vale is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to enhancing the community’s quality of life by creating more opportunities in the arts. We support programs involving dance, music, theatre, visual arts and language. Our vision is to see everyone have a positive experience in the arts. We want to see our children filled with passion about something other than tv. We want to be able to ask “What’s your favorite thing to do?” and see their
eyes light up with a myriad of choices to answer. We want the people of Vale to discover talents and
abilities that will bring them joy for the rest of their lives.

*First Annual FAVE Music Recital is a Great Success!
We had our First Annual Vale Community Music Recital at the end of May. There were many private music teachers that didn't have enough students to hold their own recital, so we asked them if they wanted to combine. Over 100 people gathered at the Methodist Church to see student performances from 6 different teachers:
Iran Trenkel (teaches piano and violin)
Ruth Fulleton (teaches voice - choir)
Steve Hahn (teaches guitar)
Nadine Messer (teaches piano)
Rachel Romans (teaches piano)
Lori Nelson (teaches piano)
Of the 28 students who performed, one of the highlights of the night was Calan Eyler’s duet with his teacher Ms. Nelson. Calan has been playing for years and practices devotedly. He plays the piano with such ease that the audience can’t help but enjoy the music. Another highlight was the songs of the junior vocal choir of Amy Trotter, Elisa Gaston, Gabe Arriola Kindschy, Veronica Rindlisbacher, Hailey Trotter, and Emma Arriola Kindschy. Ms. Fulleton chose upbeat songs that the kids really enjoyed performing and their sweet voices matched the smiles on their faces.
The two art teachers in town also had their students’ art work on display in the basement– pictures of landscapes, profiles, shapes and shading, still life, and inspiration pieces covered the walls of the church. It was fun to see their work as the families munched on punch and cookies provided by the Methodist’s Ladies Group. This event doubled as a fundraiser for FAVE and a few people gave generous donations to help us administer (that means pay for the paper and postage) our Private Arts Scholarship Program. We really appreciate your support! We plan on doing it again next spring, so keep practicing!
